Bellen vanuit Nieuw-Zeeland – Calling from New Zealand

Nederlands

Donderdagavond, 21.00 uur. De telefoon gaat: “Tring! Tring!” Ik neem op:

“Hallo, met Frances.”
– * Ruis *
“Hallo?”
– * Nog meer ruis * “… Hello?”

English

Thursday evening, 9.00 PM. The phone rings: “Ring! Ring!” I answer it:

“Hello, Frances here.”
– * Static *
“Hello?”
– * More static * “… Hello?” * Even more static *

After a lot of Can-you-hear-me? and The-line-is-very-bad we came to the following conclusion: it was something from Accounting at the visum agency in New Zealand. She was to contact us about the € 950 payment. At first she tried to give me the details over the phone, but the connection was so terrible that she sent me an e-mail. Long live the digital era! The Internet is a lot faster than the regular mail, apart from bugs at KPN (luckily we have Casema 😉 )

The payment form has been filled in and will be processed on Monday. Then we will be contacted again 🙂
